Provenance: The Artists' Daughter


This study by Mahoney,  of Nicolas Poussin’s 1648 painting: Madonna on the steps is in the collection of the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C, is likely to have been undertaken when Mahoney was a student at The Royal College of Art in the mid 1920's.
